September 2017 Meeting

The next general meeting is September 12, 2017.  Our featured event will be the annual White Elephant auction.  For this event FNS members and guests donate numismatic-related items such as collectible coins, currency, reference books, coin supplies, and any similar items that would be valued by our membership.  Home-made pies have also been donated on occasion and these seem to sell pretty well!  The items are auctioned off and the proceeds used to purchase the silver prizes for our October Coin Show raffle.  A successful auction means we can get really nice prizes, and nice prizes promote stronger raffle ticket sales at the Show.  So, the White Elephant is important!

Because of the White Elephant time requirements we will skip our regular auction and raffle.  We will still provide a membership prize and refreshments will be hosted by Sandra Arie.  Please everyone try to make the event;  a good turnout helps ensure White Elephant success.  Oh, and please bring money so you can pick up some nice auction lots for your own collections!

The meeting starts at 7:30 PM, with doors open at 7:00 PM.  We will be at the usual location:  the Las Palmas Masonic Center, 2992 E. Clinton Ave., Fresno, CA.

2016 Coin Show a Success!

Our 2016 coin show was successful, with plenty of buyers and sellers.  The club did financially well, the dealers seemed happy and customers were leaving with great items.  Thank you to our great Coin Show Chairperson and all the volunteers!  See you in October 2076!

FNS Ready For Another Great Show

In 2017 we will have our annual coin show on October 28-29 (Saturday and Sunday). Time and specifics will be available by clicking on the coin show link.

ANACS Grading Services at the 2017 Coin Show

ANACS Grading Company attended our show again in 2017 to accept coin grading submissions. They offered some attractive grading deals and we were very pleased to have them.  Major coin shows usually offer similar opportunities for having your coins graded and it's a good sign that our show could do the same.

Auction Policies

Please keep in mind these basic rules about our monthly coin auctions:

1) FNS reserves the right to pay sellers by check.  Sometimes we may not have enough cash on-hand;  in that case, our Treasurer will pay the seller proceeds with an FNS check.

2) Non-member buyers may not pay with a check.  Cash only please!
