Our 2019 coin show was was our first production at the new location: American Legion Post 509 in Fresno. By most accounts this is a better location than the Masonic Center. Lighting, parking, and aisle spacing seem improved and dealer reports were all positive. We need to work on signage and bourse access to make it easier for attendees to find their way in. Overall however we were very pleased and we look forward to doing it again at Post 509 in 2020.
Hope to see everyone there!
In 2019 we will again sponsor our annual coin show, but we will be at a new location: the American Legion Post 509 facility, at 3509 N. First Street, Fresno, CA 93726. The show dates are Friday October 25 (10AM - 7PM) and Saturday October 26 (10AM - 4PM). This will be our first Friday & Saturday show. We have been told that show attendance is usually low on Sundays so we may do better by skipping Sunday and adding Friday. Check our Coin Show page for more details about the 2019 Fresno Coin Show.
ANACS Grading Company attended the 2019 show at the new location and accepted many coins for grading. We will continue to invite ANACS to future shows and I believe they will make it again in 2020. As long as ANACS and their customers want them to come we will welcome them!

Please keep in mind these basic rules about our monthly coin auctions:
1) For our traditional auctions (conducted by FNS), the Fresno Numismatic Society reserves the right to pay sellers by check. Sometimes we may not have enough cash on-hand; in that case, our Treasurer will pay the seller proceeds with an FNS check. Non-member buyers may not pay with a check. Cash only please! For 2019 we are not expecting to conduct any of these traditional auctions. Instead, we will concentrate on Bid-Board or silent auction formats.
2) For traditional auctions FNS is required to collect California sales tax. The tax will be added to the hammer price.
3) For Bid-Board type auctions buyers and sellers directly complete all transactions. If your seller accepts a check that's fine! Bid-Board auctions are not conducted by FNS and no sales tax will be collected by FNS.
